HISTORY
OOC, Opielok Offshore Carriers GmbH, a 100% subsidiary of Opielok Reederei GmbH, registered in Hamburg, is an emerging offshore vessel owner and operator with three Platform Supply Vessels (PSVs) under current construction for the oil and gas service industry.
In December ’07 OOC signed the contracts for four 3000 dwt DP2, comfort class COMF/V3 PSVs for construction in South East Asia, with expected deliveries 2010-11.
In February ’08 OOC took over Rem Offshore’s newbuild #128 at Aker Aukra, a UT 755 LN Rolls Royce design ready for commissioning this summer, in July. The vessel is also equipped with DP2 and FiFi 1 systems.
In dark blue livery emblazoned with a tiger, all vessels are fully equipped to fulfil today’s offshore industry’s demands for PSVs operating under North Sea special chartering requirements. Owing to their high standards, these vessels can operate anywhere else in the world, having for example, DP2, FiFi 1, COMF/V3 and anti-rolling systems. Dry and liquid bulk cargo is carried in tanks, pipes and other general cargo on deck. Their safety, fuel efficiency and clean design excel; the vessels are built and classed according to DNV regulations.
OOC's Platform Supply Vessels will be commercially managed by proficient spot and term charter experts operating in Hamburg.
